GABA ist ein experimenteller Ort für Kunst und findet in zwei, fast identischen Tiefgaragenzugängen auf dem Rheydter Marktplatz statt.
Die Aufgabe für die eingeladenen KünstlerInnen, gleich zwei gläserne Treppenhäuser nach außen zu bespielen, machen dieses Projekt zu einem Experiment und einer Herausforderung. Die Ausstellungen wechseln mit den Jahreszeiten und sind rund um die Uhr sichtbar.

GABA wird kuratiert von Vesko Gösel und gefördert vom Kulturbüro der Stadt Mönchengladbach.

GABA is an experimental place for art and takes place in two, almost identical underground car park entrances on the Rheydt market square. The task for the invited artists to create two glass stairwells facing the outside makes this project an experiment and a challenge. The exhibitions change with the seasons and are visible around the clock. GABA is curated by Vesko Gösel and supported by the cultural office of the city of Mönchengladbach.
